After owning a jewelry company for a year that she started in her dorm room in college, our CEO Hannah, decided to re-evaluate what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. Hannah is a beach bum to the core, traveling where ever and whenever she can. After months of research, her love for marine life and the oceans led her to discover swimwear fabric that was made of recycled plastic and fishing mesh. Once she realized she could create swimwear that was not only non-toxic but could also better our seas, the rest was history.
Hannah started Hazen Swimwear with a single tiktok, that ended up getting out 500,000 views in less than 12 hours. She quickly realized hand sewing all of the pre-orders was not realistic, so she set out to find her dream manufacturer to bring her designs to life! For the first few launches, all of our patterns were solids, where Han hadn't quick found her design inspiration just yet. The Florida Keys had quickly become her second home when her Aunt and Uncle moved to retire in the beautiful key of Marathon, and her inspiration and ideas started to flourish through the beauty of the palms and the sea.
All of our patterns are hand drawn and small batch, focusing on sustainability and never over consumption. Our kini's are made for women, by women. Moving through trials and challenges, Hazen has become a brand not only focused on sustainability, but also empowerment. Hannah Focuses on designing swimwear that is made to fit your body, you should never feel like you have to fit into the pieces.
Here at Hazen, every body is a bikini body. Our mission is to continue to better our seas and continue to empower women through unique styles and patterns for years to come.
